Pathways

I'm still experimenting with encaustic and collage. It is an entirely frustrating process for me, but I'm really liking the interesting connections I am making. This piece is a reflection on information and identity, and on past and present influences. The binary in the keyhole simply says I, as in Me, Myself and I.

I'm new to encaustic. Below are some of my experiments. While working, I have been reflecting on memory and connections. Most have incorporated pieces of my past or bits of my present or both into the work. I feel like I am starting to develop a bit of a vocabulary.
